The Magic of an Intimate In-Home Engagement Session

There’s something truly special about an intimate in-home engagement session, and I’m so grateful to have had the chance to connect with J and K in their parents' beautiful home in Priddis, Alberta. The house itself was a photographer’s dream—filled with gorgeous natural light and stunning textures. We also had the pleasure of stepping outside to enjoy the lush green space that backed onto the Priddis Golf Course, taking in the peaceful views for a while. And, as a sweet bonus, J’s mother treated us to a homemade Polish dessert after our session, which was absolutely delicious!

My Favorite Moments from J and K's Engagement Shoot

There were so many incredible moments during J and K’s session, and I’m so grateful to have had the chance to bond with them. I always include a complimentary engagement session in my wedding packages because I want to get to know my couples better. After all, I don’t want to be a stranger on your wedding day—I want to feel like a part of your journey.

Some of my favorite images from this session came from an impromptu jam session that J and K had on a whim. Their trust in me to capture such a raw, beautiful moment was truly touching. It was such an intimate experience, and I won’t lie, I almost shed a few happy tears. I also loved the creative shots at the very end of the session, bathed in red light, which was an idea J and K had come up with. It was the perfect end to a perfect session, and I can’t wait to capture their wedding day this August!
